eClinicalWorks comprehensive EHR is a highly decorated application, winning dozens of awards over the years, including numerous TEPR awards. Our customers are also being recognized for the success they have had using eClinicalWorks, with four customers receiving HIMSS Davies Awards in 2010, 2009 and 2008, which honor excellence in implementing electronic health records (EHRs).

Davies Award

Four eClinicalWorks’ customers received the Davies Awards by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in 2010, 2009 and 2008. The awards, which honor excellence in implementing electronic health records (EHRs), were presented in the Community Health Organizations category.

Since 1994, the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Awards of Excellence Program honors achievement in the implementation and use of health information technology, specifically electronic health records, for healthcare organizations, private practices, public health records, for healthcare organizations, private practices, public health entities, and community health organizations. The Davies Award is based on an evaluation framework modeled after the Baldrige Award.

 

KLAS

eClinicalWorks received Best in KLAS 2010 & 2009, for Ambulatory EMR (26-100 Physicians). In a separate February 2009 research report from KLAS, “The Rise of eClinicalWorks: Separating Fact from Fiction,” the independent healthcare technology evaluator comments enthusiastically on eClinicalWorks’ ability to deliver a healthcare solution that matches the high expectations of providers looking for a solid, cost-effective solution. In a quote from the report, KLAS states the following:

In two separate reports released by IDC Health Insights eClinicalWorks earned high scores for its EMR in small, midsize and large practices. The reports, The Industry Short List of Electronic Health and Electronic Medical Records for Large Ambulatory Practices and Vendor Assessment: The Industry Short List of Electronic Health and Electronic Medical Records for Small and Midsize Ambulatory Practices, provide research-based advisory and consulting services focused on market and technology developments in the healthcare industry. eClinicalWorks earned high scores in technology offering and financial viability, surveying vendors and its customers based on comprehensive assessment criteria measuring how well its applications fit market needs and the confidence current customers have in the solutions.

Worcester Business Journal 40 under Forty

Sameer Bhat, VP of sales and co-founder, was named as one of the top 40 business leaders under the age of forty in an annual report by the Worcester Business Journal. Each year the Journal recognizes 40 up and coming business leaders who are under the age of forty.

Davies Award Winning Clients:

HIMSS Davies Award

The Davies Award recognizes FQHC’s who demonstrate how health information technology can be leveraged to improve quality outcomes, enhance patient safety, and add value with a positive ROI. Four eClinicalWorks’ clients have been awarded the HIMSS Davies Community Health Award in the past three years – no other company can make this claim. eCW is pleased to be part of the efforts and success of these community health centers that provide health care through an open door policy, primarily to underserved populations.

Childrens Health Fund 

New York Children’s Health Project won the 2008 Davies Award for excellence in implementing an EMR program. Montefiore Medical Center and the Children’s Health Fund, provides primary care services to homeless, medically underserved and severely disadvantaged children and families. Healthcare teams deliver care throughout NYC via custom-designed mobile medical units and at on-site shelter clinics, and an EHR is tailored to meet the specific needs of its unique patient population.

 White River Rural Health Center

White River Rural Health was the recipient of the Davies Award in 2008. One of the largest Federally Qualified Community Health Center system in Arkansas, with 18 medical clinics, four dental clinics and two pharmacies that deliver medical care across 5600 square miles of Arkansas.

Urban Health PlanUrban Health Plan Inc a 70+ provider Community Health Center (CHC) was the 2009 Davies Award winner. Committed to improving the health status of the underserved communities in South Bronx, NY, Urban Health Plan has been working in the South Bronx for more than 30 years and is comprised of three main clinics, five school-based clinics, two shelters and a nursing home. A wide range of services are offered for patients of all age, including primary care, asthma relief, physical therapy and pre-natal care.

 

Open Door

The 2010 Davies Award winner is Open Door Family Medical Center, Inc., a federally qualified community health center, which serves the under-served, uninsured and underinsured residents of Westchester County, New York. Over 92 percent of Open Door’s patients have incomes at or below the 200 percent of the federal poverty line and more than 55 percent have no health insurance of any kind.

“The medical center staff has shown leadership, vision and enthusiasm in its EHR implementation; they and their community are reaping the benefits of improved patient outcomes and operational efficiencies,” said Margaret F. Schulte, DBA, FACHE, CPHIMS, Instructor, Masters of Science in Medical Informatics, Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
