WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that Community Health Centers of Arkansas, Inc. (CHCA), a state-wide network of community health centers, has selected the eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record® (CCMR) solution for its 122 member providers across 10 practices and 58 locations. A vendor-neutral, open network securely connects disparate ambulatory EHRs with hospital in-patient systems and payor claim feeds, including CMS, to provide cost and utilization for services delivered to patients. CHCA and its providers will leverage the Population Health Analytics within CCMR to provide quality measure dashboards to evaluate and improve the quality of care delivered. The analytics platform will also allow CHCA to identify, understand and manage the health of patient populations in the community.

“Community Health Centers of Arkansas brings together a network of clinical sites through community health centers to advance the quality of care of an underserved population,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “eClinicalWorks delivers the top-rated population health management solution in the market, a comprehensive platform with powerful analytics, care coordination, patient engagement and a referral network. WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—April 7, 2014—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that Southern California’s Antelope Valley ACO has selected eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record® (CCMR) for population health management to advance its Accountable Care Organization (ACO)-related objectives.

“Antelope Valley ACO works to enhance the well-being of the community by providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services, including prevention and education,” said Dr. Satya Dandamudi, Chairman of Governing council of Antelope Valley ACO. “As a primary care-centric ACO connecting independent practices, we selected eClinicalWorks because it is one of the most comprehensive population health management solutions available and it has the flexibility to continue to meet our goals as we grow. eClinicalWorks will enable us to gain a holistic view of our patients’ records and deliver better care at an affordable cost.”

The ACO care delivery model coordinates care between patients and members of the healthcare team with the goal of helping strengthen the physician-patient relationship. Antelope Valley ACO has been working with NeXT Health Care Solutions to form this organization of independent practices with the goals of improving patient satisfaction and reducing unnecessary costs. eClinicalWorks CCMR will aid Antelope Valley ACO in meeting its quality measures and performance metrics.

“NeXT Health Care Solutions works with organizations looking to create ACOs and aids them in delivering the triple aim of better care, better health at an affordable cost,” said Dr. Jayadeva Chowdappa, founder and CEO of NeXT Health Care Solutions. “We have worked with eClinicalWorks on ACO projects in the past and found its population health management solution to be one of the best in the market today and an ideal fit for organizations similar to Antelope Valley ACO. We are excited to continue this initiative with Antelope Valley ACO and eClinicalWorks.”

“Antelope Valley ACO is making significant strides in pursuing better care delivery,” explained Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “The eClinicalWorks CCMR platform includes all the major areas needed from a technology partner to successfully implement a population health management initiative, including powerful analytics and a vision into patient populations that is actionable at the point of care. We look forward to working with Antelope Valley ACO.”

KLAS Report: eClinicalWorks Named Most Used Across ACO Functional Categories for Population Health Management

Kaitlyn Houseman

by Kaitlyn Houseman on Apr 17, 2014 1:06:00 PM

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.–April 10, 2014–eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, was named the most used system across Accountable Care Organization (ACO) functional categories among both electronic health record (EHR) and third-party vendors in a recent KLAS survey. KLAS, a research firm that rates healthcare technology to help providers make informed decisions, published the report in response to an increasing amount of physician-led ACOs. The report, titled “Physician ACOs 2014: Variations on the Accountable Care Theme,” surveyed nearly 50 ACO organizations to better understand physician-led ACOs and their supporting vendors.

“With very few exceptions, EMR (systems alone) are not meeting all ACO needs, causing many third-party products to be invited to the ACO discussion,” said report author Erik Bermudez. “As we look at where healthcare is headed and the rapid growth in the number of physician-led ACOs, we see that this area will only increase in importance. We want to put a spotlight on the enabling technology within these ACOs.”

Categories included data sharing, risk stratification, care management, referral management, reporting and patient engagement. On a nine point scale, where the average EHR system scored a 6.3, eClinicalWorks rated 7.0 for meeting ACOs needs and was named the ‘most used across the stated functional categories.’

eClinicalWorks has received positive reception to its eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record (CCMR) solution since launching it and is currently working with approximately 50 ACOs. This week, the company announced Antelope Valley ACO will be using eClinicalWorks CCMR for population health management.

“We recognized early that many physicians were forming ACOs along with participating in shared-savings programs, and ensured that our innovative technologies adapted to this trend,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “Because of these efforts, we’re thrilled that eClinicalWorks has received such a high rating from physician-led ACOs. Our goal has always been – and will continue to be – providing our customers with the most complete offerings for improving healthcare together.”

eClinicalWorks CCMR provides organizations visibility into a patient’s care across all settings, facilitates smooth transitions of care, engages patients and providers in preventative care, improves outcomes among populations and reduces costs. A vendor-neutral, open network securely connects ambulatory EHRs with hospital in-patient systems and payer claim feeds, including CMS, to provide cost and utilization for services delivered to patients.

Included in CCMR, eClinicalWorks Population Health Management Analytics uses closed-loop analytics to deliver reporting, alerting and messaging capabilities necessary to manage population health. Dashboards can be shown at the community level to determine and monitor adherence of clinical process and outcomes, including medication recalls and chronic disease management. Care coordination and analytics work together for a collaborative care framework.
