Maryland's Adventist HealthCare Selects eClinicalWorks

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Rockville, Maryland’s Adventist HealthCare has chosen eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) system as an option for its employed and affiliated physicians in Maryland and New Jersey. Adventist also selected eClinicalWorks Electronic Health eXchange (eEHX), providing an electronic health records system that allows for access across the the practices and the acute care system.

“Adventist HealthCare is committed to improving the health of people and communities. As health care changes and moves more and more into the digital age, we are proud to partner with eClinicalWorks to help our local physicians implement electronic medical records in their practices,” said William G. “Bill” Robertson, president and CEO of Adventist HealthCare.

“eClinicalWorks will help Adventist HealthCare provide physicians in our community with a solid, quality EMR product that will benefit patients,” said Dr. Gaurov Dayal, vice president and chief medical officer for Adventist HealthCare. “By helping our physicians implement EMRs, Adventist HealthCare is furthering its goal of providing high quality and cost-effective care to our patients. We look forward to working with eClinicalWorks on this important initiative.”

Adventist HealthCare will utilize eClinicalWorks EMR/PM to streamline and automate processes between practice locations and to promote patient safety while reducing costs. eEHX will serve as a hub providing physicians with improved access to patients’ health information and allowing them to exchange data more effectively, with each other and with its Cerner in-patient system.

“eClinicalWorks has experienced great success in the metro Washington, D.C., area, providing a comprehensive electronic health record system that is ideal for use in both primary care and specialty settings,” said Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “Adventist HealthCare selected eClinicalWorks due to the strength of our system along with our successful track record of community deployments and interoperability.
