CMS to host ICD-10 teleconference May 18th

The CMS will host a 90-minute teleconference for healthcare providers May 18 on the upcoming conversion to the International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision, or ICD-10, code sets.

The teleconference, which is to begin at 1 p.m. ET, will include overviews of ICD-10, the conversion process for laboratory national coverage determinations, home health, OASIS and procedure code reporting. Meeting planners also will report on other issues surrounding the switch from ICD-9 to ICD-10, according to a CMS statement.

A question-and-answer session will follow the formal presentations. Continuing-education credits may be awarded by the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association for participation in the conference.
